I remember when I first time heard of the Bored Ape Yacht Club NFT collections, I didn’t expect to be such a boom in the NFT world! It’s amazing how it developed so fast and gain such popularity, it become so common that celebrities are buying NFTs from BAYC, they really have an increasing number of celebrity owners from across the entertainment and sports worlds.
We all know that CryptoPunks might have kicked off the NFT profile picture trend, but it’s not shocking that the Bored Ape Yacht Club is making even stronger inroads to collectors who aren’t deeply immersed in the crypto culture, cause there are plenty of BAYC holders that includes famous people such as Eminem, Jimmy Fallon, Stephen Curry, Mark Cuban, Madonna, and the list goes on.
It’s interesting to look at all these famous people’s NFT collections, whether they bought them or they’re selling them, I’ve seen plenty of them on nOFTEN which is like celebrity NFT marketplace, which is cool if you’re into celebs’ NFTs collections, I think that it would be a cool experience for fans probably. But it’s insane how BAYC become so popular, I remember when everyone that has something with NFTs was talking about their collections, everyone went crazy about it lol.
Why do you think that BAYC become so popular, did they have that luck to be one of the first collections that got attention from famous people and that’s how it become a “trend”, or do you think there’s some better reason for that?
