Stocks used to physical paper. Currently they’re all digital and trust is at an a time low. It would show true ownership and give actual control. Currently your broker maintains “custody” of your shares. If they could be transferred to your wallet then the share owner would be able to decide whether to allow their shares be shorted or not and have control of the fees.
What am I missing here?
