Can I sell a forum post as an NFT?

Hi. I am new to NFTs and don’t know what I am doing.

I want to sell a forum post I made a long long time ago. I think someone might want it because it is pop culture related. I checked and I can still log-in to that account. Maybe I can use that as some type of authenticity?

I think I can sell it on OpenSea. Is that site ok? Or is there another site that is more appropriate?

And is the conversion rate for Ethereum to USD for real? NFTs have actually been converted to millions in real money?

Let me know what you think about it.

  1. For what i know, you can sell anything as an NFT, reagrdless of what it is, and who it belongs to, as there is no regulation of any sort yet

  2. I mean you can try but unless you carry any sort of high status or large following that would want to own one of your threads/forum posts the likeliness it will sell is very slim.

Us “commoners” can’t sell a tweet if it carries no real utility to the community(don’t take that phrase harshly) I’m not saying it’s not a good idea I’m simply saying the odds of it actually selling in comparison to say Elon Musk deciding to post one of his tweets for sale to the Doge community.

Tweets actually have been sold in the past as NFTs, Jack Dorsey sold his first tweet ever for 2.9m but again he’s a very high status individual with a large following.

Don’t let this discourage you, it’s just a simple introduction into the market your entering for posting tweets as NFTs.
Best of luck and if you do post it I hope it sells for you.
