What is your biggest investment regret?

FOMO is a strong incentive for potential investors, but sometimes you ignore that voice in your head, leading to a massive missed opportunity. What would you say is your biggest investing regret? Very curious to hear y’all’s personal experience

  1. Celsius is by far my worst loss as it currently stands. Not very optimistic that I will be getting much of anything back.

DeFi wise though my biggest regret is probably using the OSMO – UST pool as a “savings account” where I would convert all of my daily LP rewards in to liquidity tokens for that pool. The collapse wiped out almost a full year of rewards I had been accruing at around $15+ per day. Silver lining is I never trusted Anchor Protocol enough to put anything in there, so at least I didn’t lose it all on there. I seriously considered putting a significant amount of my cash savings in there.

Through all of that though I am basically at break even for my crypto investment despite this bear market due to DCAing in to Bitcoin and using AAVE borrowing/lending as a leverage tool.

  2. I had 50 bucks put into a token called EVER in the beginning of January this year. The token’s price shortly increased and I decided to sell about 20 days later, giving me a 2X increase of my initial investment. The funny thing is that I sold a couple of days too early, and if I had waited 2 more days, I would have sold at 8 times my initial investment. I won, but my winnings were trivial compared to what I could have gotten

  3. I had $40k invested across several crypto currencys as the investment grew to over 500k I took a 100k loan from a defi lender. My investment grew to just under a million dollars. Never sold a coin, lost everything in the crash. I make $60k per year so yeah it was ALOT. but easy come easy go I guess

  4. Just jumping into all these “projects” that promise 1, 2, 3% interest daily and continue to just lose over and over instead of just DCA’ing BTC and ETH and not ever looking at it until I retire. There is always a new project that promises this crap and I would always believe this is the one to make me financially free. Probably a total of 40-50K lost! I’ve learned my lesson……well somewhat I guess.

  5. Had 2k dollars in shiba inu when it was practically unknown. Could have been a multi millionaire or at least a millionaire if I had not sold all with a tiny profit.

  6. Probably not buying and holding to begin with. Thinking that you can beat the market is an obvious mistake that most people make early on

  7. My biggest investment regret is not buying ETH and BTC when the opportunity arose a few years ago. That’s why I made sure to stock up on Matic and MAXX last month. MAXX is a revolutionary staking Dapp with improved tokenomics launched on the Polygon chain.

  8. “Invested” all my money in Shiba Inu, because all of my friends never stopped talking about it etc etc, and as I thinked in the past it’s the biggest shitcoin 🙂 So my advice is- don’t listen to people, always do your full researches and make decisions by your own

  9. Not making ARB airdrop. LOL. I had all the time to qualify for it before the snapshot but I didn’t.

But I think my journey with DIA has been rewarding, over time.

And talking about FOMOing into the market, what the heck is happening with XRP?

  10. Investing in crypto. Primary hold BTC and ETH but they tend to move in the same direction as my stock holdings. Lots of volatility and little diversification from the rest of my portfolio.

  11. Mainly Wonderland (Time) and $TOMB/$TSHARE, 1 TOMB=2FTM Peg lmao. However, I’ve done pretty well with other investments so it’s made up more than enough for the losses, still, look back at how dumb that shit was lol.
