I’ve tried looking for live new pairings on DexTools, but the majority are complete garbage and don’t even have a website or social media accounts. For me, a project must have a website, social media accounts but these projects are hard to come by so I’ll be listing out the more popular ones and some of the underrated ones:
**Synthetix** \- It allows you to create and trade synthetic assets. They’re digital assets designed to track the price of real-world assets like gold, silver, and other cryptos. They are created by using smart contracts on the Ethereum blockchain.
**Houdini Swap** \- a DEX that allows users to swap cryptocurrencies without the need for a centralized authority. It is a fully compliant platform for anonymity that never holds custody of user funds, never accepts payments from users, never utilizes a mixing wallet, and never requires user accounts.
**MDEX** \- A DEX on Huobi Eco Chain (HECO). It uses automated market maker (AMM) and allows users to trade their coins using liquidity pools which are digital supplies of crypto locked in smart contracts.
**Perpetual Protocol** \- provides perpetual contracts for traders. Perpetuals are becoming popular in DeFi because it enables traders to hold a high leverage position with no expiry time
**Aave** \- Allows you to lend and borrow cryptos. It’s like a bank, but instead of depositing money, you deposit cryptocurrencies. You can earn interest on your deposits and borrow other cryptocurrencies by using your deposits as collateral.
Curious what you guys have in mind. I didn’t list out the more popular ones like LINK, Yearn, Compound, Aave, Uniswap, sushi, Curve because they get mentioned a lot and I think some other projects also need to be mentioned as well. Feel free to recommend any projects you have in mind.

Flashstake – get future yield of an asset in advance, locking the APR minus a fee
One that’s already out that I really like is Y2K finance, lets you bet on stablecoins holding their peg. At the moment it feels a bit more like gambling than insurance, but I’m confident that will change is they upgrade the protocol.
One upcoming project I’m very excited about is TapiocaDAO. It will allow for users to deposit collateral on one chain and then mint their stablecoin on any chain, making it the first truly cross chain lending protocol I’m aware of.
I’m following OCEAN this year. Their data farming remains allows token holders to lock their tokens, curate quality and earn OCEAN in return.
GNS VELA SYLO
These three because I think real-yield focused DeFi projects and self custody could be one of the top DeFi narratives for the year.
I’ll be keeping a close eye on Ethereum 2.0, Aave, Uniswap, Link, Curve Finance, and Synthetix, as well as keeping an eye out for new projects that emerge in the ever-evolving DeFi space. Before investing in any project, I always make sure to conduct thorough research to ensure its potential.
Right now, I’m particularly interested in GrabCoinClub, a DeFi project that’s disrupting the gaming and eSports industry.
Weaver Lab’s Cell-stack aims to achieve interoperability and create a unified telecoms infrastructure managed via smart contracts. First of its kind, telecom industry opened up to defi.
Cartesi: I’m so bullish with the project ideas I’ve seen for their upcoming hackathon. Mainnet should be coming later this year possibly, defi here will be a different class due to the more traditional nature of the buidl tools.
H2Odata:they are leveraging $PSDN and psdnOCEAN as stable assets to create greater use cases w/ Ocean Technology. This adds LSD feature to OCEAN, which has got Data, NFTs, AI, DeFi ready going for it.
I’m bullish on Changex, pretty soon hope they’ll replace Revolut, but next level. Also the keys are yours which means the crypto is yours. 🙂
I’ve been following Maiar DEX lately before it was rebranded to Exchange. This is an Automated Market Maker (AMM), rearchitecting some of the key elements to build a product that can leverage the entire performance of the Elrond architecture. Some of innovative DeFi products include, liquidity provision, yield farming, metabonding and metastaking that provides 3 different types of rewards for the ESDTs including EGLD, UTK, BHAT, RIDE, etc.
– safety audits and dex. Aims to compete with 1inch, uniswap, pancakeswap. Uses AI to get the cheapest rates. Just all time high was 82 milliom and now just 1.7 million. Cheap AF. With the AI hype, this is my top bet.
– deployer for unruggable tokens. Anything deployed via tokerr is 100% unruggable
-new protocol. Zero tax with usdc rewards while raising funds for development and marketing. Holders will gain if other projects fork the cotract
– meme token with awesome community and utility. Aims to be the next shib.
Cradle of sins
-first MOBA game on crypto. Development started on 2017. Presale on april
Real zero gas fee chain. Not near zero but real zero.
The Usuals like MDEX AAVE etc
But also a few others like Flac Finance and MELD too. Up and coming but have great potential
yeah these projects are great !
im also following this elseverse thing or whatever
looks cool to me idk
is anyone else familiar w it or its just me lol
Curve Finance, Compound, Maiar Dex, and Utrust are the few ones I follow.
Included the latter because it does incorporate some DeFi-like features, such as the ability to pay with multiple cryptocurrencies and the use of smart contracts to facilitate payments and dispute resolution.
I’ve been following AllainceBlock for some time now. They provide different services including Bridge and DEx. It’s been a helpful tool actually and they also provide services for other projects to implement as white label solution.
I’m definitely keeping an eye on [TWS](https://theworldstate.io/) as a DeFi project in 2023. With their innovative approach to governance and commitment to transparency, I believe they have the potential to revolutionize the industry. Can’t wait to see what r/theworldstate_io have in store!
MDB, an absolutely degenerate project that i will never invest in, but just curious on seeing how it goes
I’m following :
CTSI – Amazing web3 tool for developers.
ORE – multichain Decentralized ID solution for web3.
Liquid Staking Derivatives (LSD) projects are pretty hot. ETH2 staking is a good way to earn yield on just holding ETH.
Everyone knows about Lido and Rocket Pool but there are more popping up.
One I’m particularly interested in is SharedStake and although they’re not currently accepting any deposits yet, they’re building back better (after some drama’s with a previous dev) and SGTv2 token is appreciating in price well.
I fully support decentralisation projects headed up by competent and passionate devs/teams and Lido has too much market share so, support the little guys like SharedStake!
[Oasis Network](https://oasisprotocol.org/blog) provides a suite of developer tools and resources to help developers create and deploy their own decentralized applications, making it an attractive platform for building DeFi solutions.
I got the most stakes on DAFI protocol. Excited about what’s to come. Also got my eyes on Zyberswap. Just want to fiddle with the ARBITRUM ecosystem. Who know, prolly more airdrops loading in the future.
