Due to the downfall of FTX, DEXes will become more relevant. CZ himself even said he expects trading volume of DEXes to surpass DEXes within the next 5-10 years.
What DEXes do you think have a bright future? Uniswap, dydx?
And what needs to happen that more users will prefer DEXes? An orderbook instead of AMM? Better UX?
I almost never go to specific DEX, and always use aggregator like Paraswap
I think an oracle base pricing system, similar to what GMX has created is a really big technological step forward because it allows for very large, slippage free trading, while also reducing the IL risk to liquidity providers since the pool balances can be dynamic. GMX focuses on perpetuals, but I expect more DEXs that focus just on trading to implement this model.
What I would like to see happen is *diverse* cross-chain support. By diverse I mean *not just EVM-to-EVM* but actually being able to swap like USDC on Polygon for BTC and have it sent to an actual Bitcoin address. Something that emulates the type of cross-chain trades that are bog standard on a CEX.
I use the Proton Dex & I’ve used their ecosystem for quite some time due to no gas fees. I also use Quickswap from time to time.
Kraken and uniswap are my best bet but seeing what other gems like Sylo got running in their ecosystem and their dApp and a few others like Stack shows that there’s a lot of DeFi good protocol in the space.
For me it’s gains.trade for leverage trading and 1inch for swaps
