My realization in this 2nd bear market.

I have been investing in crypto for a pretty long time. This is the 2nd bear market I’m facing. I have understood and made a decision to take the profits I make on regular basis. What strategies are you guys going to use or what changes are you going to make to get better results in the next bullrun.
Let me know so I can get better.

I would like to know on your latest dip purchases too. It’ll help me in a way somehow.

Thanks in advance 🥂😄

  1. That feeling when crypto was at an ATH, remember it and realise next time to sell. This feeling of fear and doubt, remember it and realise it’s time to buy.

  2. Taking profits doesn’t mean selling everything all at once. I DCA out regularly when prices are going up, which leaves some reserves to rebuy when prices drop.

  3. I just hope another batch of suckers come into the market to be my exit liquidity and bring me back to life…haha

  4. Taking profits on all med to high risk investments, DCA into long term holds and add proportionately more as prices drop on projects you believe in.

I also plan to take larger positions on exchanges and other “adjacent” investments to stuff I believe in, sushi, etc.

I’ve added to my ETH, AVAX, FTM and DAG positions.. and plan to add more if it continues to drop, which I really believe it will due to general economic/political instability, rising inflation/interest rates and an overall fearful, bearish sentiment in global equity markets.

  5. I bought into eth in 2016 but didn’t add any more until 2019/2020. Never thought we would see sub $1k price again. Only change in behavior I’m making during this bear market is to accumulate instead of simply hodl

  6. Learn how to use DCA, one if the best strategies. Bought some ETH, ADA and OGN recently. OGN is having a new token launch next month and its required to hold this governance token OGN to get the new token. Could be a good try.

  7. For me i understood the pattern and the market is preety bearish and doesnt pose any sign of recovery soon, so in my analysis, more dip is iminent.

so I sold, and am comfortable on stable coins, I later realized i can farm with my stables USDT USDC DAI on spool to earn decent APY

  8. DCA seems to still be the best strategy for me. Used it for some buys after the July 2021 crash which turned out pretty well in Oct/Nov.

For next bull, I would try & follow smart money; via on-chain whales wallet watching, as well as investing in top narratives. I personally think L2s will thrive, AI & Data projects, DeFi liquidity aggregators & a return of the shitcoin mania.

  9. I learned that I’ll only invest in tokens with real revenue. All fancy tokenomics are bullshit. I only hold 3 coins I trust during this bear (BTC/ETH/GNS) and bought more during the dip.

  10. I have a bag of cash reserves with USDC (we may call it “protection”) that I use to DCA some altcoins that I belive to be extremely undervalued (last dip purchases: ftm, avax and dot). I have another bag generating passive rewards with some protocols (makerdao, dafi and uni). I take the passive rewards to fill up my protection bag and I keep doing this all over again.

  11. Well, in the next bull market, always ensure you have got a targeted amount you want to achieve and ensure you take profits when it get there.
I have been doing this with SYLO for quite a while and it seems to be working well. Give it a try. All the best.

  12. buy more while its cheap. spend more while its up. Its better to soend you cryoto while its up then just sell it for fiat, it keeps the crypto in circulation rather then removing the value from the network.

  13. Next ATH to sell 50% of everything into stables. Try to time the peak with only 10% or less of original tokens left.

    *Not algo-stables.

  14. For me it’s all about sitting on the sidelines with my stablecoins, hoping to deploy them at the earliest sins of reversal, also looking for staking opportunities which won’t need me to be monitoring my portfolio everytime.

I have two options though either I choose to go all in on Aave or diversify through spool which actually offers more yields.

  15. DAOs, I believe, will become the focus and dominate in the near future, as seen by the over 1500 DAOs created on XDAO in a short period of time, so my best suggestion is to get involved in DAO projects and maybe DAO tools as soon as possible.

  16. I have not been involved in cryptocurrency for a couple of years. However, after reading and researching, I discovered that our current situation is a part of the cycle. It has happened before, and it will happen again in the coming years. Let’s just enjoy the ride and stack as much as we can. NFA. But now I entered Ramp Defi to get decent yields on my collateral assets. Not huge, but I’m getting passive income in addition to yields. I actually look forward to their transition to LeverFi, which offers more rewards to its hodlers and, of course, allows us to earn while trading.

  17. Timing the market is a full time job. Just hodl… all will be good in the end. I traded/sold nearly 50 BTC back in one of the early bear 🐻 Winters. Because of that lesson, I will probably NOT sell unless absolutely necessary.

  18. Profit is the most crucial factor, but DCAing is equally vital. Yes, my long-term bags are in place, but when the next bull run begins, I will be taking gains on tokens I purchased at extremely low prices, such as SYLO, OIN, GGM, and SCRT.

  19. I’m buying all I can now, basically. Major buys, BTC, ETH, LINK, & DIA for the long term. Recent updates about the DIA NFT floor price oracle service make me more bullish on the project.

My first selling point will be at the new ATH. And then I DCA out as we continue to make new highs.

  20. I have found Xdao to be interesting as I can join a DAO and start to invest securely. I find it to be really safe as their Multi-sig wallets are well secure and the main thing is the modules they offer which are really helpful. The TG BOT which they launched recently to get the airdrop.

  21. I’m looking for hidden gems with low market caps. Actually, I learned about the Nobility Token. It’s a DeFi project with a lot of potential. They do have Noble Knights NFTs which you can mint, and also esports tournaments where you can find P2E games you might love with large prize pools.

  22. I’ve been getting a lot of stuff with all sort of sizes and shapes, from the topboy bitcoin to the ascending DIA oracle which is growing a lot among it’s peers!
Etherum is offering a great value around 1k level… There’s an interesting project that not many know which is GetAurox, for the ones interested in trading and information gathering in one stop might be very interesting.
DAFI with it’s synthetic staking is an interesting project that allows staking to be programmable which I never saw before… Unique Network is also quite interesting and currently just investable through it’s canary project Quartz which is breaking NFTs into pieces…

  23. In this bull run i continuously took profits (never all-in or all-out) and invested them into stablecoin liquidity mining. Now i can buy the dip. I speculate that ETH will be the best gainer in the next cycle.

  24. I think investors like Ray Dalio, Warren Buffett and so on have lived through more than one bear market, and yet they continue to invest and make money from it, so it sounds like a great experience to me

this is my first bear market, so far my portfolio is in drawdown, but I am using DCA and investing 10% of my monthly income, so I am not going to sell any coins, but also the main thing before investing DYOR project

for example i hold KDX – because Kaddex is first gas-free DEX, BNB is the largest exchange coin, BTC is for risk diversification, SAND is the best metaverse at the moment

I HODL and never played with my regular DCA, and these great tools have helped me get my hands on some Ethereum, SLT, and XTZ that I’m currently baking on my Sylo smart wallet.

  26. You will need to exercise patience and watch shitcoins fade this season. The ones that remains and you have done enough research on, you can start buying the dip using DCA maybe weekly, biweekly or monthly as you prefer. I’ve bought some ETH below 1k, Aave, OGN, and FTM. OGN is having an Airdrop soon , you could take advantage of that too. DYOR.

  27. Well a good strategy is to start looking into some passive income you can just sleep on, It works for me heaps since I don’t stress out so much, Staking is a great way to get passive income and I have been staking my GMI tokens with GamiFi and let me tell ya best decision yet

  28. This is my second bear market as well.

Back in 2018, just out of ignorance and not paying attention I continued to DCA into both BTC and ETH.

For this one, I plan on doing much of the same since my profit goals are more long term. It’s a little different since now I have a few DeFi positions. Basically, I cashed out of all weird alt LPs to add to my DCA pot. The only DeFi positions I kept were in lending or stablecoin LPs.

Other than that, I have made a few purchases of some alts like ALGO, ATOM, ADA, and DOT that have fallen below my average buy price and threw them into staking or lending.

It’s going to be a long road ahead of us, so I’m not even going to try and guess the bottom.

  29. I have been almost on spot with exit in this bear market, just 2 projects that burned me in a small investment, others lifted my investments from 4x – 20x ..

But i would like to suggest people to think about the bull runs.
What projects are going to stay?
In 2017 bull run 98% of ETH killers and similar fell to the last pages of CMC/Coingecko

And in the recent bull run new projects came to the top, the new shiney stuff outperformed the old dogs in gains

Now i’m eying THOL from AngelBlock, but it aint even listed yet..Putting fundraising to new heights and democratizing it so greddy VC’s can’t come near ,interesting whitepaper from them

The NFTs suprised me as well, heard that in NFT community they’re comparing them to BAYC..i got a few of them since they will get me THOL with staking

  30. My strategy right now is to DCA relentlessly to prepare myself for the next bull run. I regretted not loading more bags in the last bear market. I have been buying ETH, DOT, BNB and also looking to add FLD once the TGE is done in Q3.

  31. My latest purchases are ETH, BNB, ATOM and OCEAN. I’m staking OCEAN in the marketplace for 125% APY. I heard dYdX is coming to Cosmos which is bullish for ATOM.
