Among Harvest, Yearn and Idle, who do you think delivered the most USDC returns to users (realized returns) in 2022?

Where would you look for the information to answer this question?
Any other yield aggregators I’m missing? And how do you measure risk in yield aggregators?
Here’s what i got for accumulated returns in USDC:

1. Idle: 2.739%
2. Harvest: 2.612%
3. Yearn: 1.794%

  1. finding the info around realized returns for me is quite difficult tbh… most of the protocols or dashboards like defillama only give me the apys, which we know it’s not necessarily realized returns.

about measuring the risk, i think that looking at what protocols they are getting the yield from is very important.

  2. Sommelier also makes vaults, but there’s are a bit more intelligent than what you’d see on a Yearn since they can better predict, optimize and evolve in accordance with market conditions (disclaimer – I work at Sommelier). Our stablecoin vault has been live 2.5 months and is generating ~6% on USDC/DAI/USDT with no leverage. Happy to answer any questions you may have. https://app.sommelier.finance/strategies/Real-Yield-USD

  3. If you want realised returns, you’d probably have to download historic blockchain data (eg from the block explorer) for the entire period and analyse user deposits / withdrawals / rewards over time. If there’s enough activity you would get relatively granular returns over time.

Haven’t heard of any existing platform providing this (which makes sense as isn’t very monetisable – people mainly care about current / future returns, not historic realised returns).
