With the price spike I just witnessed, Crypto is no longer a speculative asset IMO

What just happened in the cryptocurrency market has completely changed all I’ve always thought about the market. Did you witness the way cryptocurrencies took a run even with the announcement on the interest rate hike?

Gosh! That one upward move blew me away. As a matter of fact, right now all FUD about crypto has fizzled away, and I don’t mind putting in every spare cash into crypto- Bitcoin, ETH, TokLok Token, Stacks, BNB etc. For me, all coins, or should i say all solid crypto projects right now have moved up the ladder from the “speculative asset” rung to real assets.

If Bitcoin and other coins could have such positive reaction to the interest rates news, then I could almost say that only short term or paper hand investors would lose on cryptocurrency. So even if Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies go up and down in price, you can be sure that the end game would eventually be upward. So right now is the time to invest in great projects across different segments: move-to-earn, exchange tokens, DeFi tokens etc, go to bed, and just allow your investment roll out good profits.

  1. My favorite thing about a green week is seeing all the bullish post. Oh r/cc how quickly we all forget that we are still 65% down

  2. BTC fell 74%, seventy-fucking-four percent and you’re telling me Crypto is not an speculative asset?

How much the SP500 drop? 25%, Nasdaq? 35%, Dow Jones? 19%.

  3. I’m personally waiting for a pullback to get back in. Seems to good to be true Atm. The fomo is hard to ignore though if I’m being honest.

  4. It is more speculative than ever. I have to speculate on whether the exchange is going to go bankrupt or get hacked in the 4 days it takes for my money to clear and I can move it.

  5. You say it is *not* a speculative asset because the price rose *randomly*. That makes no sense at all. That is practically the definition of speculation. Did you ever consider that it could also *fall* randomly? You are just gambling.

  6. Just accumulate, avoid the noise, make a plan and stick to it. Mine is 10 years. I’m 2 years in and I’m thankful to be able to buy under 20k in 2020 and 2022, in 2030 20k will be a distant memory and I will be retired 🙂

  7. All markets moved upward. Increasing prices very definitely don’t indicate that an asset isn’t speculative.

Sentiment can change rapidly, so while the market is low, you can hedge your risk by DCA to prevent yourself from facing a significant short term loss.

  8. Crypto is still weird, speculative, and prone to unexplainable behavior, but it has become mainstream since 2020. The top 20 to 50 cryptos are here to stay forever. BTC, ETH, DOGE and a handful of others are now a permanent part of the global economy. Even after the huge recent declines, the total market cap of crypto is over US$1 trillion.

Maybe its a bear trap, have u considered that option..But i think its nice to keep a steady head and move in the prices when they’re low ,not much damage can be done, only lowering ur buyin zones..I got some more MATIC real cheap, ETH ,EGLD, AZERO and now just waiting for THOL listing, thinking its a revolution in the fundraising area..Keep it steady and just cruise, don’t go off the road..Highway is aproaching, filled with gainz soon for everyone that HODLd thru

  11. Somebody has to buy from makers. These fake sentiments is great opportunity for them to dump. I worry about people listening to your advice.

  12. Not sure what you mean. SPY went up on the hike as well. It’s still acting like a high beta stock with positive correlation. We want to see no correlation.
