Seriously, for a company with apparently unlimited advertising budget, you think their app would look a bit more polished.
I downloaded the Crypto.com app today as a first time user, I’ve used a number of other exchanges but not this one. This app is like the uncanny valley of SaaS company apps. Everything “looks” polished like a standard tech company app, until you look too close – login links via email that don’t quite work with the Outlook inbox, redirects to the app have a 50% hit rate, the KYC process is SUPER sketchy looking.
Am I being overcritical? It makes me nervous to provide my PII and not to mention money to a company where the app looks half-baked.
Definitely the worst app I’ve used as well. I honestly couldn’t figure out how to buy crypto from it when I first started trading.
There seems to be a war between marketing departments of CDC and other exchanges in this sub lately lmao
You know how people here keep saying that crypto today is like the early days of the internet? Well, Crypto[dot]com wants to give you a taste of what that was like.
If you think CDC one is janky..check out Kucoin lmao
I prefer coinbase app. More user friendly. I still use crypto.com and it took slightly longer to understand how everything is laid out but I did it because I use CDC to stake while I use coinbase to buy/crypto card
Kucoins app is worse than crypto.coms in my opinion. First time using it I thought I was going to get scammed
It’s very much designed to be beginner/noob friendly.
But that amazing marketing though! And Matt Damon!
😂
I love their app. Easy to navigate for beginners. The exchange and DeFi are other apps that all work well together
Is bc the prioritize over marketing – for example still no instant ach for pull for most people despite a blog in dec saying they are rolling it out. I like cdc and think they have a lot of potential but boy they are really pushing the limits of many clients.
Crypto.com UI/UX definitely needs a lot of improvements lol
I think you downloaded the wrong app bud
I’m a fan of it overall. Wish they added a few things to show average buy price and +/- overall profit
We used the development money too for marketing
I actually think it’s the nicest of them all
The app really is shit, and I’ve been using it for years. I deal on Coinex sometimes and even their app is significantly better. Loads quickly, don’t need to go to a different page and come back to wallet for balances to update etc.
Its getting a bit worrying tbh. Doesnt show concern for the long term, just getting max users in short amount of time then what, running away?
If the app isn’t overhauled in the next 6 months or so Im taking my 6 figure staked sum and moving elsewhere.
When you spend most of your money on advertising, expect other areas to suffer.
Probably the same reason their customer service is shit. Not a priority.
First time I’ve seen the word janky. Thanks
Lmao. I was just thinking that. Functions like shit.
I also use different exchanges and apps and the coinbase ones (normal and pro) have the best user experiences. That is what is even weirdo with the UX design of the crypto.com. The click paths to get to some points feel ‘unnatural’.
But… In the end doesn’t matter that much for me, because what crypto.vom is offering with it’s card and lending
I have to manually push a bank transfer if I want to continue using their “plappform”. They want me to use my debit card during a 30 day ‘zero cost’ promotion. First two worked, third one kept failing.. Fisher Price of ramps is CDC
It takes a long time to load too, although they recently improved this. A few months ago, it took 60 seconds to load your account info.
I think it is because it’s a hybrid app which makes it less optimised for both type of devices. They can definitely spend on native apps.
Compare it with like bybit and tell me if you would put that app on any person that isn’t big into tech.
It’s probably all about making it look simple and easy to use.
I thought the same thing at first, but after a year of using it, I’m pretty comfortable with it.
For comparison’s sake, UI/UX-wise, which app is the best?
Binance has that same ‘stimulation overload’ look to it. From a pure design perspective I much prefer Coinbase’s sleeker look.
I use mostly tradingview anyway.
MVP – Minimum Viable Product to launch
Sometimes you go into a screen (buy and sell screens) and the screen contents scrolls off the top. The only way back is to kill the app and do it again (and sometimes, again and again).
Another funny part about crypto.com is you can’t trade crypto on crypto.com only on the app. A company with .com in their name yet you can’t use their product on the .com
There is a difference between the normal crypto(dot) com app and the Crypto(dot)com Exchange App. The exchange app is really smooth, was confused about the other one too at first, but I’m not sure if the exchange App is available in the US, I’ve heard not yet
I was surprised at first as well. You would think a pleasant, functioning design would be nice since their app is all they have. They don’t even have a desktop version like coinbase.
All crypto apps, wallets and stuff look bad. It’s like user testing is foreign term for crypto world.
I like the app, probably because I am used to it
I haven’t had any issues with crypto.com. in fact when I had questions they answered almost immediately. I’m sticking with them.
All their money goes to marketing
Because they spent all their money on marketing and not enough on the app UI
No you are correct, I dont use [crypto.com](https://crypto.com) because of how poor the app is, its also terrible on desktop PC.
You know what I did? I installed app, made my verification, purchased 100 of CRO and uninstaled… as I saw their UI I better forget I own something and maybe some day in future, Ill be glad for this movement, but I feel the same
