Which project did you have really high hopes for, shilled relentlessly and unashamedly, only to end up with an egg in your face?

Considering most of the market is down 70-80%, this coin/token would need to have fallen a lot harder than most and/or performed worse than most on the way up during the bull run, or might’ve had bad news that’s given it a poor reputation and may negatively impact it in the longer-term.

Mine I think would have to be XLM. One of the few cryptos not to hit a new ath in the recent bull run. Such a disappointment. Seems like a lot of the 2017 coins performed similarly underwhelmingly, especially the payment coins.

  1. SOL. I really thought i had a gem, till it went out, and again, and …. Now i m just holding a small bag since well you know, things don t need to be solid to pump again as seen in other projects.

  2. Hard to say because all Alts are down, however ONE also suffered the bridge hack, so that might be the least likely to return to ATH.

Sadly, my largest alt coin bag

  3. I had high hopes for Harmony ONE.

I got involved in some projects. I brought some stable coins over to increase the chains TVL. I was active in several projects communities.

    The project is ded.

  4. Yeah XLM, Harmony one both burn me hard. But I am still hoping for SPELL to prove me wrong. Thing is the highs brought me to the moon now I am being dragged six feet under.

  5. What bad news has there been around xlm? Its a utility coin that is growing with users everyday and is actually a useable product 🤣 It was never a hype coin followed by a bunch of moon boys. It has partnered with banks and launching on moneygram. Smart investors have an entry and exit point and are prepared to hold onto investment until it matures. Not go shilling a coin around because they just stopped wearing pampers everyday.

  6. Here’s the order that I moved out of the following projects. STARL, AUDIO, LRC, FLOW, ONE, ATLAS.

The following I have added to my existing bags of BTC, ETH, SOL, CRO

  7. Lrc 🙁 Founder dumped his lrc for founding new coin and loopring became a cult now worse than fckin ccp censorship both on discord and reddit. Beware.

  8. Cardano. When I first got into crypto in 2020, my sons were both very excited about Cardano and I bought a little (at $1.75!). The more I dug into the history of it, the constant marketing puffery and saw interviews with the founder, the less I liked it, eventually pulling out a few months later at $1.45, glad to get some of the investment back.

Happy it didn’t Work. I have some ofc, but i don’t See fresh-coiners coping with this Kind of Dip without some blame going my way

  10. LRC. No egg in my face. Always knew it was shit. The amount of idiots that were going to jump on this one because of something even more shit ($GME) definitely had me thinking it would perform better than it has though.
XLM is great for the one thing I use it for. I only ever own XLM for maybe 2 mins at a time.

  11. Theta, still got to have faith but mainly because I’m down about as much as ONE and ONE was hacked and lost a third of their value.

  12. Fucking COSS, what a shitshow that is. Real kicker is I pulled out my bnb, and swapped it to Coss, which was then especially stupid as bnb did very well

  13. OMG was a bust

NEO and ICON, but i still believe in them even tough price action was not great. Both projects are far from dead.

Luna, Sol and Cardano I never touched any of them, because they all seemed like scams. 2 down and 1 to go 🤭

  14. Audius was heavily shilled to me by a crypto acquaintance last year.

I’m glad I ignored the advice.

Most heavily shilled coins are shitcoins. The blue chip cryptos don’t need any shilling.
