What projects did you let go of during this bear that you previously believed in?

So we all have some coins we refuse to remove from our portfolio which for me would be btc eth algo and dot. But which projects that you used to believe in heavily did you lose hope for? Maybe you sold to buy something else, maybe you got screwed (luna), or maybe the project just didn’t match your expectations
For me its Cake, I used to think it would change my life with the apy but I quickly learned that yield chasing is basically just burning your money, apart from that they did nothing new or innovative and it just put me off, vet is another one I gave up on as it seemed they got pretty stagnant too. Will be interesting to hear what others have to say!

  1. Love the fact that we have gone from the daily “shillers assemble” posts from a few months ago, to the daily “bring out your dead coins” post 🔔

  2. I just stop buying more of projects I lose faith in. I can’t sell. I know when I do, they will shoot up and give great gains to someone else. I will carry my bags.

  3. I sold everything except ALGO a few months ago because I didn’t like how the market looked. Barely broke even. DOT and ATOM are very tempting right now.

  4. I had multiple shitcoins in 2021, sold everything in December

Only holding Banano and BTC now and always keep some XMR around

  5. ONE. I think it’s completely dead. I though the same thing about VET and ADA, sold them both back in 2021 (held for a couple of years) but now I’m thinking they may be two of the projects that actually emerge from this successful, so I’ll probably buy back in at some point.

  6. Theta. At the time people were saying it would be a decentralized alternative to Youtube and with the hype about crypto and web3 replacing everything, I was bought into thinking that maybe they had a shot. But then you take a deeper look and see that Google’s control over the web is so entrenched and the blockchain tech is still so primitive that it will take many many years till a blockchain streaming platform has a chance to supplant Youtube, and at that point Google would probably be 10 steps ahead to prevent it.

  7. Used to be bullish on VRA. Did some digging and ditched it last year because its shady af. CEO got a fraufulent past and is hiding his face. They recently announced that they “set aside” 10bn Token as a war chest. In other words, they printed money out of thin air. Glad I dumped it with good profits because I am certain it will never recover.

  8. I’ve numerous coins but in three different tiers, includes what I believe in most and consequently value. I saw Steller (Tier 3 was up a bit a while back) & Fet, also Tier 3 had dropped like a stone 21%, swapped all the Stellar to FET.

Other than that I’m buying bits weekly of whichever coin in any Tier provides the best value at that time. This last couple of weeks ENJIN, DOT and EGLD have been good value plus HNT a couple of times. Lots of my coins are locked in stakes and I’ve bought enough for now, ADA, ONE, ZIL, ALGO, Tier 2 type coins for me

  9. It would have been cake.

But instead I chucked it in at 250% Apr locked for a year. The ultimate gamble.

I know, I know…I want to have my cake and eat it.
