TerraLuna sub and compassion…

I just took a trip over to r/terraluna and I have to say, most of us are hurting right now but those people literally lost everything.

There is post after posts of users actively contemplating suicide after losing everything.

I know it’s easy to dunk on their terrible Lead as all of Kwon’s tweets are super cringe. After hearing the story of how his incompetence caused this project to fail it’s also easy to dunk on the investors.

But maybe take a moment to reach out, if that’s not brigading, lend some support.

After all, we all invested in cryptocurrency to hopefully have a better life, break free from the corrupted FED, the manipulative stock market, to be our own bank…just to for a hope of having an edge in this life where literally EVERYTHING is harder, more expensive, and stressful.

There is always a way out, if you feel hopeless, talk to someone.

Edit: no upvotes please, I just noticed on the main page there are better posts explaining my sentiments. I usually sort by new…

  2. Not just investors but there are whole project teams who are now having to reevaluate, events which aren’t going ahead, contractors not getting paid, flights and hotels being cancelled. This is a slice of the economy which has failed and is impacting many lives.

There is a really strong belief in the community of Terra, I’ve been amazed at how generous everybody is, and it is breaking many hearts that it all might be lost.

  3. For those who don’t know about the UST algorithm, basically what’s happening right now is that the algorithm is trying to return UST to its $1 peg but as a result, it does that by minting more LUNA supply, which is tanking the price of LUNA further and further, which is also tanking UST and the cycle goes on.

I had 70% of my portfolio in LUNA and I lost all of it ($16k). I had a lot of faith in Terra and saw it as one of the very few L1’s with a valuable use-case (in my view it was). I’m kinda done right now.

  4. I was there for a short time.

    Pain was palatable.

Hell I wanted to just hug them and cry with them while chanting – It will be all right. Hang in there buddy, just hang in there.

  5. My dad just bought $800 of LUNA hoping it’ll go back up. I tried to tell him how utterly stupid that was and that he’s going to lose $800. All he said “it’s a risk I’m willing to take, I don’t care” some people you just can’t help

  6. I have sincere compassion for everyone affected. But on the other hand, there’s a reason why people are preaching “don’t put in what you can’t afford to lose”. Stablecoins bring an inherent risk with them – that’s the whole reason why you so get such staking rewards for example. Many people neglected the risk and saw it as free money and are now bleeding because of it.

  7. The salt in the wound is the Terra and Kwon are not really exuding confidence with their tweets. It is just “trust me bro” and calling “LUNAtics” when in fact they are living up to the name of being a lunatic.

  8. Okay but can people be realistic here and not delusional too? It is mathematically impossible for Luna to recover and the UST to repeg. This project is going to 0. People need to stop buying the dip for it and sell off what they got. Anyone saying there is hope for this to recover failed basic math courses and has no understanding of how the LUNA- > UST system works.

  9. Yeah I took a look and it upset me to see the trolls on there posting crap like “lmao” or “just do it”. Guess I shouldn’t be surprised by some of the behavior on Reddit by now but I can’t help but shake my head seeing how terrible people can be when they are hiding behind their keyboard.

  10. I understand this is a good thing.

But I truly hate the double standards . LUNA turned to be a shitcoin, yes a shitcoin. No different from DOGE (which is very much alive btw) , safemoon, shib and many others.

But of course everybody had to make fun of people losing money there “cos they were stupid” . However when you lost your life savings cos you were making 20% a year … “let’s show compassion”

How about we show compassion and empathy to everybody out there despite what they put their money on ?

  11. I’ve lost my “life savings” five times. You can always work your way back. It’s hard to see any positive when your young but you have to realize you have a lot of life to live and time works for you if you let it. If you go and off yourself, you will never have a chance to fulfill that future, you just die broke.

  12. I mean c’mon when they were all brigading about where to go for yields after cdc and Celsius killed their yields and they were all tits jacked for 20% apy on anchor if you couldn’t tell that was a scam and didn’t do any research you deserved to lose everything. They were told countless times it was bs and a bad idea that wasn’t even a DYOR thing I can’t count the number of no no no posts. That 20% call after the sec was nixing everything read like pigs to the slaughter and the shorts obliterated it just like textbook.

  13. i am sad for them. I also lost a lot of potential gains.

why I don’t get is, why they didn’t follow the first
legit rule of investing(note, i never use only crypto).

“Never put your eggs in one basket.”

why put your life on a single “stream” of income/retirement plan.

are they really that lazy to work so they do full-time crypto?

even full-time traders don’t rely on trading only.

  15. It must hurt tremendously to feel like you’ve lost everything. Some people have lost their life savings, please guys, be cautious, it’s your hard work.

You also need to reach out if you feel like anywhere near suicidal. Please, stay safe.

  16. I can’t really connect with killing yourself over money. I was homeless on and off as a teenager and through my 20s which are primarily a result of my own choices, sure.. but I guess it’s left me feeling like money doesn’t really matter, easy come easy go type stuff. As long as I have an able body, I know I can survive fine, and be happy too. It’s fun to win money but like… in the end it really doesn’t matter so much if you’re not old

  17. Most of my Terra money was in UST. Only a little in LUNA. I got out at only a 40% loss.

After a year of making 20% apy, I feel like I damn-near broke even.

  18. Never invest money you can’t afford to lose. If every asset I own drops to zero, It still wouldn’t affect my life in the slightest.

  20. People might not wat to hear it, but crypto also needs regulation.
Regulation of Exchanges, Insider, Pump and Dumps, and Off Ramping.
But not regulation of Wallets, Transactions, and On Ramping like the EU wants.

  21. >those people literally lost everything.

Those same people were told not to put all their eggs in one basket. How many times are you told to diversify and yet they still went all in on one thing? This is on them, for being stupid.

    >the manipulative stock market

Why on earth would you think Crypto is less manipulated than the stock market?

  22. I have a buddy across the country who was heavily in anything Luna/Terra related. Last message i got from him was “i’m gonna step away from investing for awhile.” Still hoping he’ll reply to my text soon.
