I recently came accross a gaming project on their TGE (Token Generation Event) day. While doing some DYOR I realised they were involved with several ICO / IDO platforms for presale purposes. This peaked my interest and I did some lite research on such platforms.
What I noticed is, there are tons of project offerings on these ICO and IDO sites but the over complicated process and expensive requirements felt discouraging to me.
For example, out of all the platforms I looked into one of the most affordable one requires you to stake about $600 worth of their own token to qualify for the lowest level tier which gives you just 1 lottery ticket for a chance of getting whitelisted.
The websites have hilighted some success stories which I cross verified on Coingecko and CMC. Some of them were still 2x profitable even after massive dumps! Obviously they’ll only highlight success and hide failures.
Only those who have extensive experience in the field can truly shed some light on the subject. If any of the 4 million guys here is kind enough to do it, that’ll be cool. Even better, a detailed post about your experience with the process along with statistics would be greatly appreciated. *Please tag me in the post of anyone should decide to do it.*

2 years ago it’s something I could consider doing, but after last year’s epic early year pump, we saw heaps of shitcoins come on the scene and the flood isn’t letting up.
The sheer number of coins in existence now is exponential compared to where we were in 2020 or earlier.
It’s expensive for some to get into a pre-sale IDO ICO.
Then there’s getting in, but what tier? Low tiers don’t give you much tokens, so no wen lambo there, but you will at least 20x on good legitimate projects.
Then there’s the vesting period that can last 3 months to a year with an average of 6 months.
If your Token ATH during that time, and dumps 45%-65% afterwards, you missed the boat, and you are stuck.hodling.
It happens often.
Its good if you get no lockup and are able to sell at listing. After that it will take propably 2-3 years to reach same value. Joined few projects at ico. Did not sell for 100x and in few weeks price was same as ico. Now iam stuck holding.
