Hello, hope y’all are doing well. I live in the United States. Several years ago I made a binance account (not binance.us, before they stopped serving USA customers) and left about half of a BNB coin in the account and forgot about it. It was a few cents back then. I logged onto my account with a VPN the other day and was surprised to see that it’s now worth a few hundred dollars.
I converted it to Bitcoin to try and send it to my wallet, but when I tried to do the withdrawal it told me that my account withdrawal function is suspended because of suspicious activity. My question is, how should I go about retrieving my money since I can’t log in from the US?
Edit: Talked to Binance Support. They had me send a video of me logging into my account, picture of my ID, and video of me holding my ID and saying that I authorized the transaction. They took the lock off, then I tried to send it and got locked again. Reached out once more, they did it manually. All good!
unfortunately, it won’t be easy for you. You’ll have to go through Binance support to lift the suspension and they are notoriously awful. Took me 3 months to get my money.
Weird. I was in the same boat as you, but was able to move all my funds to Binance.us using VPN. Maybe they’ve caught onto this? In that case try support, or you might just be fucked since they did have a cutoff period to move funds.
Reach out to binance and see if they will transfer it to your binance.us account.
