Crypto adoption in North Cyprus ๐Ÿ‡จ๐Ÿ‡พ ๐Ÿ‡น๐Ÿ‡ท

This week I’ve been in North Cyprus (K.K.T.C) to research the property market, and one of the first things that stood out to me was how many businesses accept Bitcoin and other cryptos for payment. If you walk along any of the main shopping roads in LefkoลŸa or Girne, you will see dozens of signs that say Bitcoin accepted here in the front window. Even the Airbnb I’m staying at accepts stablecoins as payment. I’ve traveled to many different countries and nowhere have I seen so many places accepting crypto.

If you have some coins to spend and want to take a vacation to a beautiful Mediterranean island, I would definitely recommend North Cyprus! It’s just required to fly through any of Turkey’s main airports first. The visa requirements are also very loose, basically everyone is invited into the country. If anyone’s interested I can recommend some neat things to do here as well.

  1. Great advice! I’m really looking forward visiting the invaded side of a country and spend my crypto to support a dictatorial regime through their satellite country.

Hopefully this war is over soon and I can visit the Russian Republic of Donetsk next year to spend some BTC over there too!
