At the same time the numbers for the privacy-focused search engine were published as well:

The amount of BAT bought back on the open market by brave is as follows:

Lower than the 2.5 Mio from June 2022

Overall the numbers are very good, and I am very bullish on BAT!

  1. I only started using Brave recently because it natively blocks YouTube ads, and it manages to make YouTube’s PIP feature work.

Everything else about brave is just a bonus to me

  2. Brave is the king of all browsers.

    Pro tips:

1-On smartphones you can acess YouTube via browser and listen to the video with your phone locked. (You’ll need to enable background video play on Brave Settings)

2- Use YouTube on Brave browser, it blocks all ads, even video included. You can ditch YouTube app now. Like seriously.

3- It also blocks Spotify ads between musics. Works both on ~~smartphone~~ and computer.

Edit: Tested Spotify Web Player via Brave and it no longer works on smartphones. Still ok on computers.

  3. Will brave ever or plan to move away from ERC20 token to something that can actually be useful with micro transections etc? Thanks.

  4. As a smart person once said Fortune favors the brave.

And seriously brave is doing very well even if crypto is falling off.

Me too, but sadly as an user I can’t claim my BAT anymore since Gemini blocked accounts from my country and I’m sure as fuck not giving away 15 BAT per withdraw to Uphold.

The Brave team should get their shit together and allow non-custodial withdrawals already for fucks sake! Stop forcing us to use a fucking CEX!

Not mention, ERC-20 token? I mean, that might have made sense two years ago, but come on, there’s plently super-cheap L2s to use now, why keep forcing users to pay 40 bucks of ETH for their $5 worth of BAT?

  7. I’ve been using Brave for a few months now, on PC and mobile. I will never look back. Brave is truly superior to every other browser.

  8. I love BAT it just sucks that I have been blocked because the system thinks i am an ai. And there is no way to resolve it quicker than just waiting for it to go away

  9. Brave is alright. It’s just chrome with some extra stuff I don’t notice. I wish I could take out my rewards to the brave wallet coz Gemini and Uphold aren’t available in my area.

  10. I like Brave. I don’t like BAT. Gaining BAT requires watching additional adverts pushed by the browser and honestly isn’t worth the time for the return in BAT. I turned off the feature after a month or so.

  11. I keep using it as my secondary browser. Initially I only used it for BAT, but I do not care about that anymore. It’s a fine and stable browser and the included adblock is good enough for most of the websites.

  12. I’ve been using Brave for nearly a year and pretty happy collecting my 2-3 BAT per month

Nearly got enough to buy a couple beers but hey it’s a great browser in itself so a win win
