According to a recent research by the Bank of Canada it is said that Crypto/Bitcoin investors have a low level of financial literacy, basically saying we are dumb when it comes to finance. Not only is that a very interesting conclusion that definetly helped everyone who read that article but it’s also ironic.
As this is coming from one of the same banks that will beg us to use their CBDC (Central-Bank-Digital-currency). So why are they even trying to replicate Crypto if we are all just “dumb” and wasting our time.
Just another bank trying to show Crypto in a bad light and this time even all of the investors. Sure we all did not do any PhD but so e of us do certainly know a bit about financial matters as Crypto is highly tied to it and done like to be up to date with crypto news.
We’re not financially illiterate, we just choose to buy high and sell low
For sure, I’d even say that 95%+ of the population has a low financial literacy. Most people live paycheck to paycheck. Even if someone wasted all their money on weeklies options I’d say they would be more financially literate than the rest of the population.
I swear these Canadian banks are trying to keep us all poor.
I’m sorry but after being in this sub and many many crypto forums I’d have to agree totally lol
>According to a recent research by the Bank of Canada it is said that Crypto/Bitcoin investors have a low level of financial literacy, basically saying we are dumb when it comes to finance
Honestly, yes. Sometimes the truth hurts.
>Sure we all did not do any PhD
Speak for yourself, I have an honourary doctorate in “HODLing to the moon!”
They call me Dr. Hodl and my #1 prescription is hopium.
This is one honest bank I’ve seen in the world… I agree with their research.. most ave joe investors are dumbasses that caught fomo and are high on hopium, cos they got sold the lie that whatever they throw their money into will 100x in less than a year…. crypto is still very young and currently every insto or gov is trying to regulate the hell out of it.. so in effect creating the opposite outcome of its original intention…
The Bank of Canada has low financial literacy in Crypto
It’s a not very well disguised insult isn’t it really
I do honestly believe that for a lot of crypto investors, crypto is the first thing they are really investing in.
I’m not sure I would call it “low financial literacy”though
says the guys who literally print money out of thin air
Theres 2 trillion dollars in crypto. All from dumb retail investors with low financial literacy. Makes sense! No institutional money here, nope
I mean, they’re not wrong.
